Fake Leaves That Produce Fuel

They may be the key to clean energy

Have you heard that scientists have developed synthetic leaves that are able to produce fuel like a regular plant with sunlight and carbon dioxide, not only helping to process some of that CO2 from our atmosphere but also potentially providing us with a cleaner source of renewable energy in the future.

According to scientists, the tech would rely on sunlight but it would still work on cloudy days as well as in areas of the world that aren't very sunny, which could potentially give us a solution to the climate crisis we currently face. The only issue is that we aren't there yet and we need a solution ten years ago. Still, it's a cool bit of tech that could help in the future, provided we come up with other solutions for the here and now.
