Are garden slugs a pest for you and your garden? There are several things you can do, some kinder than others. While some might argue that you should salt the slugs, this does dissolve and kill them, and it probably feels horrific. It also adds salt to your garden, which isn't a good idea, either. You could also leave out some beer for the slugs to get drunk on but that will kill them, too.
A more humane idea would be to plant some slug-repelling plants around your garden, such as geraniums and salvia. A copper foil barrier is also a great natural repellent that keeps slugs away without killing them.
