Vertical Garden Plants

Add some height and depth to your garden

Many of us consider what to plant for ground cover, but it's vertical gardening that really makes your space pop. You can spot vertical plants from far away, giving your home a border of color and beauty long before visitors arrive. Planning the perfect vertical plants can help you really add some curb appeal.

Clematis is a favorite vertical plant. Lovely pastel, cool colors bursting around a trellis or entryway look pretty in the sunshine. Wisteria not only smells lovely but hangs in gorgeous clusters, creating a truly 3-D effect all around your space. If bright colors are what you are after, how about American Bittersweet?
